How long have you worked for Times-Union Media?
I have been at Times-Union for 12 years!
Why did you choose Times-Union Media?
I favor the newspaper/news content industry. Compared to other mediums, it has the best track record in terms of results!
What drew you to the digital marketing industry?
It drew me in. The landscape for advertising has dramatically changed and digital marketing is a must. Good websites, traffic, e-commerce, ease of navigating and reputation are everything now.
How are you set up for success at Times-Union Media?
Treating new and existing customers with respect, along with offering the best marketing plans for them and their businesses are the basics for success. Media buying is an experience destination, and when an advertiser phones in, sees a representative from Times-Union Media or receives an email – as with any potential or real purchase – they want a positive outcome. If the advertiser is happy and gets results, then that is a success for the company.
What is your favorite social media platform, and why?
Facebook. It’s a great way to see and keep up with friends and family.
What do you enjoy most about working at Times-Union Media?
The people I work with. This is a tough industry that comes with a lot of pressure. The coworkers that are sharing the challenges make it a pleasure. Everyone here wants to succeed. I also enjoy working with clients and the variety of solutions we can offer to help them achieve their business goals. One thing is for sure – it is never boring here!
What is one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
My friends call me “Jilli Bob”.
What is your favorite inspirational quote or motto?
All of the lyrics to Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” because this song always puts more grit in my giddy-up!
