“Your vibe attracts your tribe.”
If you’re anything like me. then you practically read that sentence with a peace sign emoji at the end of it. Although this saying is often used as a caption for Instagram group shots or plastered on t-shirts, it actually has a lot of truth when it comes to your company’s social media.
What I mean, is that your social media look and feel says everything about who you are and who your customers will be.
While it can often be hard to put your finger on the “vibe” of a social media account, it’s something every customer picks up on, whether consciously or subconsciously. It’s actually the very first things they see.

The Atlantic Beach surf shop is all about living the Florida lifestyle. Its customers are most likely young, athletic and into laid-back fashion. This targeted group is clearly reflected on its Insatgram page.
Monique Burr Foundation Instagram
Children, health, safety, motivation— this one only took me four words.
Once glance at the MBF’s Instagram tells me almost everything I need to know about it without ever reading a word. In case you are not familiar with the foundation, it provides a variety of prevention education, advocacy, and community leadership efforts geared toward protecting children. Its page clearly reflects these efforts.
Sweet Pete’s Candy Instagram
Sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar — OK, that’s technically one word.
There’s actually a lot more than just sugar going on, but that’s what I think when I see Sweet Pete’s. If you’ve ever been to the candy store, then you know that the atmosphere is bright, loud and fun. I’d say the local candy shop’s vibe on its Instagram perfectly matches. Bright colors, smiling faces and lots of sweets — it’s speaking to the demographic the company has always catered to, which is young and hungry.
